1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using SnapExport, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not continue using the App. Apple’s terms for devices, accounts, the App Store, iCloud, Photos, system sharing, and its standard end-user license agreement may also apply.
2. Scope of the service
For photos, Live Photos, and videos you provide through the system picker, SnapExport performs on-device reading, previewing, original copying, format conversion, temporary-result storage, and system sharing. Availability depends on media format, whether the original has downloaded, device storage, system version, the receiving app, and network conditions.
3. Your content, authorization, and permissions
You retain ownership of your media and exported results. To provide features you choose to use, you authorize SnapExport to read and process selected content and create copies on your device. SnapExport does not gain ownership or a right to publish it. You are responsible for having the right to process and share selected content.
4. Original export, conversion, and compatibility
- “Original export” means SnapExport does not re-encode an obtained file. It does not mean every platform or app can open that format.
- “Compatible conversion” creates a new file and may change encoding, container, file size, color rendering, some metadata, or Live Photo behavior.
- Quality presets are encoding tradeoffs and do not guarantee a pixel-for-pixel or byte-for-byte match to the original.
- Longest-side and target-size settings apply only to re-encoded still photos, not original exports or videos. Targets and estimated ranges are approximate; exact matches or compliance with another app’s upload limit are not guaranteed. Check the actual exported result.
- Original exports may retain location and other metadata. Location-removal settings for re-encoded photos do not rewrite original files.
- A receiving app may compress, modify, reject, or accept only some items. SnapExport cannot control its behavior.
- SnapExport does not modify originals in Apple Photos.
5. Temporary outputs, verification, and backups
Completed outputs normally remain in the App’s private cache for up to 24 hours for previewing, sharing, and saving. Cache may be cleared by you or reclaimed by the system and is not permanent storage or cloud backup. Before clearing, uninstalling, or allowing cache to expire, verify that important results are stored in a reliable destination.
6. Apple system services and third-party conditions
Apple or third-party apps you choose provide and manage media selection, iCloud original downloads, system sharing, file providers, purchases, restoration, and refunds. These services may be delayed, fail, or become unavailable because of permission, network, account, region, format, size limits, device resources, or service status. SnapExport does not guarantee that a particular third-party app always appears in the share sheet or accepts every file.
7. Free conversion allowance and SnapExport Pro
Free users can complete 3 items requiring re-encoding per trusted rolling 24-hour period, including optional JPEG recompression. Copying an original does not use conversion allowance. Confirming a new period may require trusted time from the network so changing device time cannot incorrectly refresh allowance.
SnapExport Pro is a non-consumable one-time purchase that provides unlimited conversion and photo recompression. Product name, price, tax, currency, and regional availability shown by the App Store control.
- Apple processes purchases; entitlement starts after successful transaction verification.
- Eligible purchases can be restored with the same Apple Account.
- Apple controls refunds, revocation, Family Sharing, and store-region rules.
- If a transaction is refunded or revoked, SnapExport may remove Pro access according to StoreKit verification without deleting originals or files already saved elsewhere.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use SnapExport unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, bypass purchase or allowance verification, interfere with security, distribute malicious modified versions, resell or impersonate the App, or reverse engineer it where prohibited by law. Rights expressly granted by law for interoperability, research, or backup are not improperly restricted.
9. Intellectual property
SnapExport’s code, brand, interface, original artwork, and text are protected by applicable law. Your content remains yours or the original owner’s. Apple and its product names and marks belong to Apple Inc.
10. Results and service availability
SnapExport is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every original can be obtained, every conversion succeeds, output appears identical on every platform, third-party services remain available, or temporary files are retained permanently. Keep an independent, reliable backup of important content.
11. Limitation of liability and consumer rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for indirect or consequential loss caused by unverified export results, cache clearing, device or system failure, iCloud state, third-party compression or rejection, account state, or events beyond reasonable control. These Terms do not exclude consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update SnapExport and these Terms to fix issues, support system changes, improve security, or adjust features. Material changes will update the effective date. You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time.
